Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2023 Blanc
In the Vineyard
The harvest of white grapes started on August 24, during sweltering heat. As in previous years, the grapes were picked only in the morning and transported in refrigerated vehicles to protect the aroma precursors. This special care was combined with meticulous sorting in the vineyard and in the barrel upon arrival. The first juices from white grapes promised a fresh vintage, with a beautiful crisp liveliness.
Color and Smell
The wine has a very beautiful yellow color. The first nose is complex and moderately intense. When rolling, a ripe fruitiness emerges, with hints of white-fleshed peach and a slightly lemony touch, followed by delicate floral notes.
Flavor profile
The lively, tantalizing first taste is a surprise given the ripeness suggested by the aromas. The wine is juicy in the middle of the mouth and ends full and powerful. The finish is long and never seems to want to disappear from the palate. This Mission is a classic from this estate.
2023 Château La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc Tasting Notes
The 2023 La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc offers generous amounts of lemon oil, spices and ripe orchard fruit with a hint of spring flowers. The wine is medium to full bodied, fleshy and broad, with a rich, aromatic palate. It ends with an ethereal, powerful finish that carries elegant white fruit notes.
