Flexible delivery of your wines

We offer the possibility to view, and if desired, order wines easily and safely from your comfortable chair. We offer a lot of information about all products, which you can read in peace and make your choice. Our entire range of more than 2500 wines and delicacies, can be ordered per bottle, so trying and tasting is free. During checkout, you can choose whether you want the order delivered, but you can also pick up the order from us, and you will automatically receive up to a 10% discount! We are next to the highway (A16 from Rotterdam to Breda), and you can park in front of the door. We will prepare your order in a trolley with which you can place the wines in your car, and of course, you can also look around in our Wine Warehouse where you can find all the products on the website, and you can always taste wine from our Wine-by-the Glass.

At Grandcruwijnen,  you can order your wines easily and quickly. We deliver your order where you want and when you want it. At home, at work, or a pick-up location near you, six days a week. Would you rather pick up your package in our Wine Warehouse in Dordrecht? That is also possible every working day from 10:00-17:00, and you even automatically receive up to 10% discount on your pick-up order. Our address details and opening hours can be found HERE. At Grandcruwijnen, you can order your wines via our website seven days a week, 24 hours a day. But then you don't have your wines at home yet. It is possible that you are not at home or you miss the delivery person and you still have to wait days for your order. At Grandcruwijnen, you don't have to worry about that. We deliver your order where you want it and when you want it. You will receive a message in advance about which part of the day the delivery person will visit you, and you can even change the delivery day. You can also have your wine delivered to one of the many thousands of collection points. This means there is no need to wait at home, and the option to have your wines delivered between 17:00 and 22:00 is ideal.

We offer the flexibility of two delivery services (PostNL and DPD), and on the checkout page, we state the possible costs of the various delivery services and also the last possible order moment which differs per delivery service.

Day delivery - When choosing DPD, orders are shipped the same day on working days until 3:30 PM and with PostNL until 4:00 PM. Delivery is in principle (barring crowds or other unforeseen circumstances) the next day (so also on Saturday). This applies to The Netherlands and Belgium.

New regulations regarding ordering and delivery of alcohol

As of 01/07/2021, stricter regulations (amendment of the Liquor and Catering Act) came into effect. This relates to remote deliveries to private individuals in the Netherlands. For the delivery of alcohol, it means, among other things, that both the orderer and recipient must be over 18 years old. It will be checked by the delivery service upon delivery of the package. When ordering from us, you are responsible that the recipient can identify himself and that he is 18 years or older. If this is not the case, the package will be returned to us, and you are fully responsible for the costs of return and resending. It is therefore important to take this into account when you send a gift. In addition to the identification obligation when ordering and receiving, it is also the case that leaving wines or other alcoholic products at a front door or a location specified by you is no longer possible. In all cases, deliveries can only be made after the recipient can show a valid ID that he is 18 years or older.

Have your wines delivered in the Netherlands

You can use various parties to deliver your order, and on the checkout page, you can determine this yourself. You have plenty of flexibility with multiple options:

Regular delivery by PostNL

PostNL delivers your order to your home. You can also choose to have your package delivered to a different address (for example, your work address). If you are not at home, PostNL will deliver your shipment to a PostNL Collection Point, which you can see in your Track & Trace. The package will be stored at the PostNL point for one week. Then it goes back to the sender. Deliveries are made during the day from Monday to Saturday, so six days a week. It is important to mention that with the new legislation from July 2021, there is an 18+ identification requirement so that alcohol is not bought for children / young people. It will no longer be possible to leave the package at the front door. In all cases, packages must be accepted by someone who can identify themselves and that they are 18 years or older. Ordered until 16:00 on Wednesdays will be shipped the same day.

Regular delivery by DPD 

You will receive an e-mail from DPD with the tracking code and the status of the order. The first e-mail will be sent as soon as the package has arrived at the depot, stating the expected delivery day/time. If desired, you can submit changes via this link in this e-mail. This can be changing the delivery day, the delivery address, passing on a delivery to a parcel shop. On the morning of the delivery, you will receive a second message about the delivery time. DPD will inform you at the hour when the package will be delivered. Via the live tracking option in the mail, you can see how many stops the driver still has to make before he arrives at your address. Up to half an hour before the expected delivery time, you can still make changes via the link in the e-mail.

If you are not present, the package will go to the nearest DPD parcel shop. You will receive confirmation of this by e-mail. Packages remain at the parcel shop for seven days before being returned to the sender.

Deliveries are from Monday to Saturday, so six days a week, and we offer to ship orders received before 16:00 the same day unless otherwise indicated. It is important to mention that with the new legislation from July 2021 there is an 18+ identification requirement. Ordered until 15:30 on Wednesdays will (in most cases) be shipped the same day.

 

Regular delivery by specialized wine transport via Verhoeven

For larger quantities and/or more expensive wines, we can also send the wines with a specialized Wine Transport. In that case we can deliver the wines, if still available, in the original packaging (including box or OWC) and these will also be sent insured. We can only offer this service for the Netherlands and Belgium. They always pick up the shipments from us on Wednesday and then delivery is Thursday or Friday (depending on the zip code). You can choose this Shipping option in the Checkout and with larger quantities (12 or more bottles) and with a value of at least 200.00 Euro (350.00 Euro for Belgium) we offer this specialized wine transport free of charge and we recommend using this as well.

NOTE:  We cannot guarantee that wines are still present in the original packaging and you can also imagine that if you order 1 fine wine we cannot send it in the original packaging if it is  in a box of 6 pieces. However, if the box has arrived and these remaining bottles are ordered, we will send them in this box or box. If there is no more box or box, we will find a nice alternative equivalent box or box in which we will send the wine(s). We always have a lot of empty boxes and as a service we will add a nice alternative when the original box is no longer available.

Delivery outside the Netherlands (all EU countries)

For delivery abroad (all countries of the European Union), we use DPD. You will receive an e-mail from DPD with the tracking code and the status of the order. The first e-mail will be sent as soon as the package has arrived at the depot (on the evening of your order), stating the expected delivery day. If desired, you can submit changes via the link in this e-mail. This can be changing the delivery day, the delivery address, passing on a delivery to a parcel shop, or granting drop permission. With this last option, you give the driver permission to put down the package without a signature.

On the morning of the delivery, you will receive a second message about the delivery time. DPD will inform you at the hour when the package will be delivered. Via the live tracking option in the mail, you can see how many stops the driver still has to make before he arrives at your address. Up to half an hour before the expected delivery time, you can still make changes via the link in the e-mail.

If you are not present, the package will go to the nearest DPD parcel shop. You will receive confirmation of this by e-mail. Packages remain at the parcel shop for seven days before being returned to the sender.

Insurance in case of damage

All shipments are insured at Grandcruwijnen. If you receive a damaged parcel, please contact us via our customer service at [email protected] within 24 hours. We will do everything we can to ensure the delivery of wines to your satisfaction.

Different delivery address

On the checkout page, you can enter a different delivery address. By default, billing address equals delivery address. If you uncheck this box, you can select an alternative address (in the EU) where the wines should be delivered or one of the thousands of PostNL collection points. The invoice and e-mail traffic always take place via the invoice address and associated e-mail. The packing slip (without prices) is only added to the shipment, so we do not add an invoice to a shipment. If a message has to be given, you can fill it in at "gift message". We will print this on a card and add it to the wines.

Pick-up location in the Netherlands and Belgium

No more staying at home waiting for your wines to be delivered! You can easily have your order delivered to a PostNL or DPD collection point for our Belgian customers. You no longer have to wait for the delivery person and you can pick up your package when it suits you. This can be a collection point near you, but also just as easily, for example, a collection point near your work. If you choose a pick-up location during checkout, you will see a list of possible pick-up points. You select the desired location and we will ensure that the package is delivered to this location within 24 hours. You can pick up the package for seven days, whenever it suits you. You will receive a message from us via Track & Trace as soon as the package has arrived at the collection point.

Alcohol is only supplied to adults

At Grandcruwijnen we stand for responsible enjoyment. We want adults to enjoy moments with a nice glass, but we think it is very important that they are handled responsibly. Our beautiful wines are above everything meant to be enjoyed. Better to drink less, but with a nice wine, is our motto.

Grandcruwijnen does not sell alcoholic beverages to young people under the age of 18. Not only because this is prohibited by law, but also because young people should not drink alcohol at all. When purchasing alcohol, our employees ask for identification from all people under the age of 25. Are you estimated to be younger than 25 in the store, but have been older for a long time already? Take it as a compliment!

As of July 1st, 2021, there will (fortunately) be legislation whereby the same rules apply to the online sale of alcohol as to the physical sale. As Grandcruwijnen, as we also do with sustainability, we have taken our social responsibility much earlier and we deliver more than 90% with an age check (not all delivery services have already managed to arrange this). We perform the age check on all deliveries of packages containing alcohol. However, if several packages are delivered to one address, the ID check will take place once. Delivery drivers ask customers to show their ID so that the delivery person can verify that the customer is 18 years of age or older. Due to the current corona measures, the ID card does not have to be handed over, the customer can hold it himself and show it to the delivery person remotely or put it down in front of the delivery person. If the package is delivered to the neighbors, this will of course only happen if the recipient is of the minimum age. If identification is not possible and/or the recipient is younger than 18, the package will be returned and the resending will be charged at the customer's request at current costs. An important consequence is that giving permission to leave the parcel at the door or simply handing it over to the neighbors is no longer possible because it becomes so easy to unintentionally supply alcohol to youths/children.

Standard delivery time

If we receive your order and payment on business days, before 17:00, and it is in stock, we will ship it on the same day. In 99.9% of cases, DPD & PostNL delivers the next day (Monday-Saturday). It should be noted that this is not a delivery guarantee. We are also dependent on third parties such as PostNL, DPD. Apart from extreme crowds, we now have delivery reliability of more than 98% in both the Netherlands and Belgium. On the checkout page, we state the costs of the various delivery services. We also mention the last possible order moment (differs per delivery service DPD, and PostNL).

Delivery is in principle (barring crowds or other unforeseen circumstances) the next day (also on Saturday). This only applies to The Netherlands and Belgium. You can adjust all kinds of information through Track and Trace.

Track your package - delivery status notification service

With our delivery service notifications, you are always immediately & well informed about the status of your order. As soon as we have sent your package, you will receive an e-mail with a link to the time frame of the delivery. The e-mail also contains a barcode with which you can request more information about the parcel shipment. 

Delivery cost

We work together with various package suppliers such as DPD, and PostNL. In the Netherlands, we deliver orders above 75 euros for free, and under 75 euros, you contribute to the shipping costs of 6.95 for PostNL, and DPD. In Belgium, we deliver for free above 125 euros, and below that, you contribute to the shipping costs of 8.95 euros. These conditions only apply to consumer orders. Separate conditions apply for Retail and Horeca.

Have your wines delivered outside of The Netherlands

Grandcruwijnen supplies wines to customers throughout Europe. For deliveries abroad, the rates below apply per country. This is a contribution to the delivery and insurance costs of the shipment. In Belgium and the Netherlands, we also deliver to Pick-up locations, so you don't have to wait for the delivery person at home.
