Description

The total surface of the Larcis-Ducasse vineyard is 11.15 ha of which 9.80 ha is in use. The planting density is 6,000 vines/ha and this will be increased to 8,888 after replanting. It is a common idea that a higher planting density is intended to produce more, which is not the case. Due to the high planting density, the yield per plant is much lower and the plant is forced by the 'competition' to root deeper. This mainly benefits the quality and certainly not the quantity.

The Larcis Ducasse 2022 bursts with aromas of rich, creamy berry fruit mixed with aromas of licorice, laurel and spices. It is a blend of 86% Merlot (Harvested from September 13 to September 21) and 14% Cabernet Franc (Harvested from September 21 to September 23). The wine was aged for 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new and 50% 1 year old. The 2022 vintage is full, broad and enveloping, it is a structured, layered wine with a ripe core of fruit, supple tannins and an extended finish.

FACT: Under the tab: Attachment you will find the official factsheet and we will send it to you digitally when you order this wine. Also worth mentioning that we buy the (Bordeaux) wines directly and never through intermediaries, because then we do not know which journeys the wine has made and how it has been treated. The wines come from the cellars of the Chateau directly to our conditioned Warehouse in Dordrecht where all our wines are stored .
