Jamieson Ranch Vineyards in Nappa Valley, United States, is more than just a producer of great wines. Their "Light Horse" label is a metaphor for the winery's unique program of animal therapy for wine enthusiasts, war veterans and children with disabilities. So making beautiful wines and socially active involvement go hand-in-hand
The REATA SONOMA COAST CHARDONNAY is a very lively Chardonnay and comes from one of the finest areas of California for Chardonnays namely Sonoma County. The name Reata comes from the Spanish word for 'lasso'. Hand-braided and buried in the earth to get strong. Just like with this beautiful Chardonnay. Hand-picked from only the best grapes coming from a great terroir and climate wine, after which this wine was aged for 7 months in French oak. The Reata Sonoma Chardonnay is a warm buttery wine with a nice freshness as a result of the cool sea breeze from the great ocean. It has toasty aromas followed by pear, apple with cinnamon and cloves. On the palate there is a clear fruitiness, followed by rich, savory flavors of almonds and vanilla. Fresh and dry with a very long lasting finish. This is a wine for lovers of a full chardonnay with butterscotch.
Very nice with melon and prosciutto, light salads, light pasta and rice dishes, pizza and shellfish, grilled fish or grilled chicken.
Jamieson Ranch Vineyards founded the Light Horse Foundation. The foundation is committed to people with disabilities, especially those with autism, and supporting other major humanitarian disabilities. A portion of the profits from Jamieson Ranch Vineyards supports the Light Horse Foundation. Jamieson Ranch Vineyards (founded in 2013) is Napa Vally's southernmost winery, one of the world's major wine regions. The 300 acres of the estate are perched on gently rolling hills, and on the terraced vineyards, the grapes benefit from the cool morning mist and the breezes of nearby San Pablo Bay, climatic conditions that only benefit the production of exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
