Are you looking for a white wine in which the aroma of Spain shines through? Then you will be completely satisfied with a verdejo wine . Verdejo wine has become increasingly popular in recent years and has even taken the grüner veltliner and sauvignon blanc to the throne. The verjedo wines are very straightforward, while a sauvignon blanc may require some patience.

The verdejo grape is counted among the best white wines of the region of Castile and Léon. So the taste is good. Speaking of taste: it is often fresh and fruity, which makes this wine an ideal summer wine. Lovely on the terrace, but also in partial shade in the backyard. Verdejo wines have an aroma that is so unique that you can taste that you are dealing with a verdejo wine. It is the combination of fresh and fruity with a very subtle bouquet of citrus fruit, pear, apple and herbs, while there is also something floral to taste. There is certainly also a bitter undertone that makes the overall taste of the verdejo wines more interesting. Every now and then the verdejo is mixed with the sauvignon blanc. That produces a slightly more fruity wine, but fear not: that elusive verdejo aroma can still be tasted very clearly.

The picking process of this grape is quite special. The grape is not too good with oxygen: it prefers not to have anything to do with it. By picking the grape in the evening, when the temperature in Spain has dropped a lot, none of the aroma is lost. The grape is then pressed within the shortest possible time and finally stored in large metal barrels. Curious? Order one of our verdejo wines and let it please you. Recommended!
