Description
This port is unique in character and composition. The basis is formed by fairly young port, which has been aged on wood for four to six years. These are mixed by winemaker Paulo Coutinho and master blender Jeremy Bull with different lots of older, matured port of excellent quality. The result is a special, distinctive fruity and at the same time elegant 'after dinner Port' with a special depth and complexity.
The 29 Grapes Reserve Portal in the glass is tan, matured, nicely brown in the edge. In the nose beautiful notes of dried fruit, raisins and dried figs, coffee and spices, complex and broad. On the palate this port is wonderfully matured and round, a subtle sweet, with a good balance, cherries, a bitter after, soft and perfectly ripe. Extremely good to serve at A nice mature cheese, light desserts, blue cheeses
