Wines from Portugal are rightly on the rise. It is a very old wine country and the price / quality is often unprecedentedly good. For often less than half the price of an Italian or French wine, you often already have better quality. This package contains 6 wines from different regions of Portugal with their own climate. The wines are of course from well-known wineries and are made from typical Portuguese grapes. You can taste so well what beautiful wines come from Portugal, but also the differences between the different regions.

Weingut Polz is located on the Grassnitzberg in Austria's southern wine region, Südsteiermark. This family business has a rich history that dates back to 1912, when Johann Polz took his first steps in viticulture. Today, the winery is run by the fourth generation, who continue to improve the quality of their grapes and wines with sustainable viticulture and modern technologies.

Although Austria is known for Grüner Veltliner, it is the Sauvignon Blanc grape that steals the show in Südsteiermark. About one fifth of the vineyard area in this region is planted with this grape variety. Sauvignon blanc thrives in the hilly landscape and the relatively mild climate with cool nights. The wines range from fresh and fruity to subtle and elegant.

Weingut Polz offers a wide range of wines, including the well-known Sauvignon Blanc, Weissburgunder and Morillon (local name for Chardonnay). All grapes are harvested by hand. The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks or large wooden barrels. Everything is aimed at preserving the grape's own aromas and freshness.

In addition to making beautiful wines, Weingut Polz is also focused on sustainability and the preservation of biodiversity, and they try to minimize the impact of their winegrowing activities on the environment. They are currently in the process of converting to organic viticulture.
