The herdade do sobroso Sobro Branco is a blend of the typical Portuguese grapes: Antão Vaz, Arinto, Verdelho and the Palomino grape. The grapes were picked by hand. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel barrels at a controlled temperature for 30 days, after which it is allowed to mature further on its own lees. The Blanco Sobro (or Branco in Portuguese) has a straw yellow color and is very bright. This Portuguese white wine has a wonderfully fresh taste, fresh aromas of citrus and passion fruit. The wine is very elegant wine and has a good balance between the fruit and the acids. A delicious glass for any occasion and highly recommended with crustaceans and shellfish and with white fish with a bit of spiciness.

The marriage between Touriga National and Cabernet Sauvignon results in a full-bodied wine, with intense colours, lively acidity and tannins, enlivening the dark fruit profiles common to both grapes, such as blackcurrant, blueberry and cherry, with mint notes and refined with the presence of Touriga's typical floral aromas of violets. This is a great glass with a unique price/quality ratio as we (still) see it in Portugal. The wine has a nice alcohol percentage of 13.5% and good acidity and all this makes this an excellent wine with a lamb stew with pruneaux, some Moroccan tagine dishes, hearty dishes with a clear Portuguese signature. Also the famous Estrella cheese from Portugal.

The Allo is a tribute from winemaker Luis to the famous TV series and is a lively and precise white wine, based on alvarinho and loureiro. The first grape brings structure, the second provides aromatic notes. Fine aromas of tropical fruit and citrus on the nose. The alvarinho offers aromatic fruit intensity and structure, the loureiro elegance and minerality. The wine is beautifully balanced. Thanks to a slightly lower alcohol percentage (11.5%), this Allo is 'easily digestible'! Delicious with tapas with fish and shellfish.

This is now something that works perfectly with a Vinhos Verde and that is making beautiful wines but with clearly less alcohol. This 9% is a new member of Quinta de Soalheiro. The wine undergoes low temperature fermentation in stainless steel vats. It is precisely the aging in stainless steel barrels that gives the wine an excellent balance between sweet and sour. The Vinho Verde 9% Alvarinho has an aromatic nose with plenty of citrus fruit, something of yellow apple and white peach. The taste also offers notes of ripe white and yellow fruit, spring blossom and crisp acidity. Wonderful balance between sour and sweet, with a seconds long aftertaste. A delicious wine, low in alcohol and perfect on a terrace or as an accompaniment to a lemon tart with merenque and forest fruit ice cream.

The Encruzado Reserva Quinta da Falorca consists of 95% of the most beautiful white grape from the Daô - the Encruzado. This grape has the ability to maintain an almost perfect balance of sugars and acidity. It produces dry, fruity and aromatic wines and is one of Portugal's top white grape varieties. This grape has an extraordinary aging potential and we see that with this white wine from Quinta da Falorca because this wine can remain in your cellar or wine fridge until 2033 without any problems. The wine has matured in new French oak and has a perfect alcohol percentage of 13%, which makes the wine super elegant, among other things. The wine receives high ratings year-in-year-out. The 2021 was not released until early June 2022. In his younger years drinking from a large (burgundy) glass. We will not deny that we ourselves also like to drink the wines of Falorca. A very high level, elegance at its best and price quality is excellent.

The Herdade do Sobroso Reserva Tinto (Barrique Select) is a blend of Tempranillo (Aragonez), Trincadeira, Alicante Bouschet and Alfrocheiro, so Portuguese through and through. The grapes were picked by hand and transported to the winery for fermentation and maceration in stainless steel (temperature controlled) for 21 days. The wine was then aged for 12 months in 500 liter oak barrels. It is a very full red wine, intense red in color. On the nose it is a complex wine with aromas of blackcurrants, jam and chocolate. Very nice and long aftertaste. The Sobroso Reserva is a wonderful wine with especially spicy dishes such as lamb, pork belly, stews and mature cheeses.
