Description
Saint-Tropez, a picturesque village in Provence, has a rich history deeply rooted in a centuries-old legend. Founded in 1908, the Torpez winery is an integral part of this tradition, bringing the flavors of the region to life. Situated in a unique natural setting, the vineyards produce wines that reflect the elegance, balance and beauty of the Saint-Tropez terroir. Torpez wines not only embody the essence of the landscape, but also pay tribute to the rich history and culture of this iconic village.
The Torpez vineyards are located on sandy-clay soils created by the erosion of 500 million year old crystalline rock, including gneiss and granite from the Massif des Maures. This unique soil structure contributes to the minerality and complexity of the wines.
The Petite Bravade Rosé is composed of: 40% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, 20% Syrah and 10% Tibouren. The grapes are harvested both by hand and by machine, followed by careful pressing. The juice is fermented at controlled temperatures between 14° and 20°C to preserve the aromatic complexity. After fermentation, the wine is aged on the fine lees with regular bâtonnage, which enriches the texture and taste. Before bottling, the wine undergoes a cold stabilization of 4-5 weeks.
In the glass, the Petite Bravade has a light peachy pink color with salmon-colored highlights. In the nose exuberant aromas of small red fruits, kiwi and peach. In the mouth, this quintessential Provence rosé is full and soft with a pleasant salty, peachy aftertaste.
WINE-FOOD SUGGESTIONS
Salade Niçoise – The freshness of the rosé goes perfectly with the salty anchovies, tuna and crunchy vegetables.
Goat cheese with honey and thyme – The fruity notes of the wine combine beautifully with the creamy, slightly tart goat cheese and the sweetness of honey.
Grilled shrimp with garlic and lemon – The salty aftertaste of the wine enhances the flavor of shellfish, while the citrus accent complements it nicely.
Quiche with courgette and goat cheese – The soft texture and fresh acidity of the rosé balance the creamy character of the quiche.
Chicken skewers with Provencal herbs – The spiciness of the dish is nicely picked up by the floral and fruity aromas of the wine.
