Description
Saint-Tropez, a picturesque village in Provence, has a rich history deeply rooted in a centuries-old legend. Founded in 1908, the Torpez winery is an integral part of this tradition, bringing the flavors of the region to life. Situated in a unique natural setting, the vineyards produce wines that reflect the elegance, balance and beauty of the Saint-Tropez terroir. Torpez wines not only embody the essence of the landscape, but also pay tribute to the rich history and culture of this iconic village.
The Torpez vineyards are located on sandy-clay soils created by the erosion of 500 million year old crystalline rock, including gneiss and granite from the Massif des Maures. This unique soil structure contributes to the minerality and complexity of the wines.
The Côtes de Provence AOP Bravade is one of their showpieces. This rosé is named after La Bravade, the traditional festival of Saint-Tropez, and embodies that Provencal flair.
The Bravade 2024 is composed of: 65% Grenache, 15% Tibouren (a rare, local grape variety that adds aromas of garrigue and Provencal herbs), 10% Mourvèdre, 5% Cinsault and 5% Rolle. The grapes are harvested by hand and then stored in cold rooms at 5°C for between 12 and 48 hours to preserve the quality. Pressing is gentle, with only the heart of the juice being used for this cuvée.
After pressing, the juice undergoes cold stabilisation at 5°-6°C for 4 to 5 weeks, followed by a slow fermentation of 3 to 4 weeks at temperatures between 14°C and 20°C. The wine is then aged on fine lees with regular bâtonnage, which provides additional volume, richness and aromatic complexity.
The Côtes de Provence AOP Bravade has a light salmon pink colour, aromas of red fruits such as strawberry and raspberry, complemented by floral notes and a hint of spiciness. The taste is fresh, elegant and perfectly balanced.

Grilled sea bream with lemon and herbs – The mineral structure of the wine enhances the flavour of the fish, and the citrus aromas of the wine match the fresh accent of lemon.
Watermelon, feta and mint salad – The fruity character of the rosé really comes into its own with the sweet-salty combination of watermelon and feta.
Roasted Chicken with Herbs of Provence – The spicy notes in the dish are enhanced by the subtle spiciness of the wine, while the juicy chicken and fresh acidity harmonize beautifully.
