Description
The Moscato d'Asti DOCG Righeÿ is a slightly sparkling sweet white wine, made from the Moscato grape. You can clearly taste the fruity and intense flavours that are so characteristic of this grape. The Righeij is a crystal clear and beautiful straw yellow Moscato; when poured into the glass, a veil of creamy and persistent foam invites the drinker to sip it. On the nose, a bouquet reminiscent of fresh and crunchy fruit, especially white peaches and ripe pears, with hints of citrus, as well as notes of white flowers and a delicate hint of medicinal herbs. On the palate, pleasantly intense and structured, easy to drink thanks to a surprising freshness and stimulating creamy bubbles, pleasantly sweet but not at all cloying. A Moscato with character, delicious in combination with desserts, Christmas treats and pastries with dried fruit, and interesting in combination with bread, butter and anchovies, which provide a beautiful contrast thanks to their remarkable flavour; excellent as an alternative aperitif when preparing the Mo.li.me cocktail (Moscato, lime, lemon, mint – recipe attached). The wine is delicious to combine with a sweet dessert or well-matured cheese and an excellent alternative to a Sauternes or Jurançon.
Also see in the attachment a great recipe for a nice (low-alcohol) cocktail - The Mo-Li-Me by Montaribaldi. Chances are if you are looking for a nice cocktail in the Barberesco region you will find it on the menu.
The Moscato vineyards are located in Neviglie at an altitude: 450 m. The location and the terroir of the Moscato vineyard are certainly a reason why this Moscato is so fresh, mineral and elegant. The vineyard was planted in 1965 with a planting density of up to 4,000 vines / ha; The Moscato grapes were harvested in the first half of September. Once in the winery, the grapes are destemmed, crushed and cooled (temperature of 10-13 ° C). Then the grapes are placed in the pneumatic press to divide the skins from the must (soft crush). The must is then left to rest for a few days in stainless steel thermo-conditioned tanks (13 ° C) to separate the turbidity. The clear must is then filtered and stored in stainless steel tanks at a very low temperature.

1. Strawberries with ricotta and basil
The sweetness of the strawberries is beautifully supported by the fruity character of the Moscato, while the soft ricotta and fresh basil accentuate the floral notes of the wine.
2. Thai spring rolls with lime and chili sauce
The slightly spicy and aromatic flavours in the spring rolls are softened and refreshed by the residual sugars and acids of the wine. The lime complements the citrus aromas in the Moscato.
3. Roasted pear with gorgonzola and honey
The salty intensity of the blue cheese is balanced by the sweet peach notes of the wine, while the honey enhances the aromatic profile and rounds it off with a soft sweetness.
4. Chicken drumsticks glazed with orange and ginger
The sweet and spicy glaze complements the exotic muscat aromas of the wine and the fine bubbles refresh the fattiness of the meat.
5. Grilled figs with Parma ham
The sweet figs and salty ham create a captivating contrast that is softened by the fruity and soft character of the Moscato d'Asti. The fine bubbles give an invigorating effect.
6. Apple tarte tatin with rosemary and almond
The caramelized apple and spicy touch of rosemary pair nicely with the honeyed and floral aromas of the wine, while the almond enhances the nutmeg notes.

The 'azienda agricola Montaribaldi' is historically a family business, located in the middle of the Langhe hills in the small village of Barbaresco. The Montaribaldi winery has been owned by the Taliano family from the beginning and has 19 hectares in the Barberesco area. In 1994 Luciano and Roberto took over the company from their father and immediately decided to only produce high quality wines. It is still a real family business, father Guiseppe and mother Carla as well as the wives of the owners, Antonella and Franca all cooperate. At present they produce about 75000 bottles a year. Thanks to the perfect location of the vineyards of Montaribaldi and the typical white soil of the hills in Langhe, the elegant wines that come from them have a long life. Note that the land around the Montaribaldi vineyards is from Gaja. The family makes some of the most famous wines from the Piedmont region: Barbaresco DOCG, Barolo DOCG, Barbera d'Alba DOC, Barbera d'Asti DOCG, Roero Arneis. They offer a complete range of wines, from grapes typical of this region. Typical of this winery is that the wines have their origin in Piedmont, are always recognizable as a 'Montaribaldi' wine and are sustainably grown and produced. As they call it themselves: making 'vineyard wines' distinguishes them from others.
