Description
The Kentia is one of the three wines from the Lagar Da Condesa winery, which is part of Gil Family Estates. Naturally made from the finest Albariño grapes grown in a vineyard planted on largely granite soils, with some chalk and clay. This results in a very aromatic white wine with hints of aromatic herbs and fresh white fruit.Old vineyards planted in the Pérgola system, traditional from this area, produce Albariño grapes with high acidity given the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and the high rain level, fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After malolactic fermentation, the wine has remained in stainless steel tanks until bottling, resulting in a wine that will continue to develop complexity during aging in the bottle (sur lie)
In the glass, the Kentia Albariño has a light straw yellow color with a green tinge in the glass. The taste is unctuous and fresh, great acidity, balanced and complex. The Kentia has everything that makes an Albariño so beautiful with aromas of ripe pear and peach, but also with the necessary minerality and natural Atlantic sea injection and saltiness. Medium fat on the palate with juicy conference pear and ripe apple and a bouquet of herbs. Finally, you have a very light touch of white pepper that distinguishes this Albariño from its peers. Everything is present: ripeness, freshness and minerality. A fantastic gastronomic wine.
Perfect to combine with boiled seafood, white fish and crustaceans, light pasta in salads or with marinara sauce, roasted blue fish, smoked sausage, grilled white meat, semi-hard cheeses and creams.

About Lagar Da Condesa
It is not surprising that Julio Cortázar wrote down his desire to return to the RÃas Baixas. This land of Gaelic lyricism, pilgrims, ancestral stones and thermal waters protects the countryside from old Albariño vines and produces very refined white wines. The native grapes are located on sandy and granite soils that have become porous due to frequent rainfall. The southwest-facing aspect of the vines begs for the sun to ripen the bunches of grapes. With the nearby murmur of the Umia River and its waterfall, the grapes are harvested by hand, just at the moment when they concentrate all their varietal character.
