The Lagar Da Condesa winery is also part of Juan Gil, a family business founded in 1916 in the centre of the town of Jumilla and a champion of putting Jumilia on the map as a (top) wine region. True to its origins, this winery has seamlessly fused tradition and the latest technology with respect for the environment. Juan Gill is also the creator of the famous Clio and the world-famous El Nido.

This AlbariƱo wine is produced in our Lagar da Condesa, located in the Valle do SalnƩs, belonging to Galicia in the northwest of Spain. A 100% AlbariƱo grape, a variety that has been grown in Galicia for centuries. The O Fillo da Condesa AlbariƱo is in our opinion one of the very best AlbariƱo considering the price. The AlbariƱo was left on its fine lees for about 3-5 months to give the roundness and creamy structure in the mouth and to guarantee the optimal conditions for consumption.

The O Fillo da Condesa has the characteristic very light but bright straw yellow color with a lively minerality reminiscent of the sea. The wine has a good structure in the mouth, well integrated crispy acids and a great aromatic intensity with hints of lemon and floral notes. The Atlantic Ocean crackles from the glass with a kind of saltiness. This is a great aperitif and of course perfect with everything that comes from the sea and especially with all types of shellfish, grilled fish, salads, chicken, seafood paella, pasta with clams.

  • Risotto with green asparagus and Parmesan cheese
The creamy texture of the risotto and the umami of the Parmesan harmonize with the full body and subtle wood character of the wine. wineanthology.com +6 Woods Wholesale Wine +6 Triangle Wine Company +6

  • Grilled peach, burrata and arugula salad
The sweetness of grilled peach and the creaminess of burrata provide an interesting contrast to the wine's fresh acidity and light spiciness.

  • Cod with a white wine and caper sauce
The salty notes of capers and the juiciness of cod complement the salty finish and freshness of the wine.

  • Roasted cauliflower with tahini sauce and pomegranate seeds
The nutty flavours of tahini and the freshness of pomegranate complement the complexity and slight bitterness of the wine.

  • Baked scallops with a beurre blanc sauce and samphire
The sweetness of the scallops and the salty flavour of samphire enhance the mineral and briny characteristics of the wine, while the beurre blanc sauce emphasises the creaminess.
