The 27 hectares of vineyards of Château Croizet-Bages Pauillac Grand Cru Classé are located on the plateau de Bages in Pauillac and have Chateau Lynch Bages as a neighbor. Ch Croizet Bages owes its name to two brothers 'Croizet' who founded this domain in the 17th century. The vineyards are on a soil of deep gravel, gravelly sand. the average age of the vineyard is 35 years with a planting density of 8,500 vines per hectare and an average yield: 45 hectoliters per hectare. The blend consists of approx. 58% cabernet sauvignon - 39% merlot - 3% petit verdot. After the manual harvest, the wine ages for a minimum of 12 months in French oak barriques.

This Chateau Croizet Bages is a quintessential Pauillac rich in black currants, blackberries and wet earth and walnut. Minus the mouth, this Pauillac is medium to full bodied. Very tasty with finely structured tannins. The Croizet-bages is a beautiful wine and for a Pauillac it has a very reasonable price, especially if you compare it with the neighbors!
