Description
The Bogle family has been farming for over 100 years. Since the late 1960s, grapes have also been grown in the California wine region of Clarksburg and later Lodi. The Merlot grapes come from the Clarksburg, Lodi and Monterey appellations.
The Bogle Merlot is a ripe fruity red wine. The wine has matured on American own for 12 months. This Merlot has an intense, vibrant cherry color with bright tears. Lushly ripe nose of black plums and smoked meat with an exotic touch. Harmonious playful texture with velvety mouth filling and a fruity soft aftertaste. Delicious wine to drink as it is, but also recommended with a BBQ, steak on the grill or oriental spiced chicken, wild tomato salad or simply with a hearty hamburger.
Bogle is certified by several agencies: California Certified Sustainable Winegrowing, Lodi Rules Certified Green Certificate and the “Sacramento Area Sustainable Business” Certificate.

Wijnhuis
The Bogle family has been growing wines since the nineteenth century. It wasn't until around 1968 that the family planted the first vines near Clarksburgh USA. After years of hard work, the Bogle family has more than 1,200 acres of viticulture in California. With the growth of the company, the family established a name within the wine world, both in America and abroad. The main reason for the success is that the family is engaged in the production of wine on a daily basis. The family understands that high quality wines start with excellent grape varieties. They ensure this by working organically with respect for the land and the environment. The story behind the pheasant on the labels of the wines is as follows. The family wanted a label that reflected the region of the vineyards. The family came into contact with the artist Paul Lorenzi, who was sketching the wines one evening. Suddenly a beautiful pheasant sat in the middle of the vineyard. The Bogle wines label was born!
Bogle Vineyards works organically. Bogle is certified by several agencies: California Certified Sustainable Winegrowing, Lodi Rules Certified Green Certificate and the “Sacramento Area Sustainable Business” Certificate.
