2018 Château Pape Clement Le Clémentin du Pape Clement Blanc

The Le Clémentin du Pape Clément is produced with the same care and methods as the 1st wine and has already acquired a status in its own right. The vineyard is biodynamically managed. Weeds and grass are grown, oxen and horses are plowed between vines and wines have the Terra Vitis label and HVE3 label (high environmental value 3rd level). In the winery, the entire process takes place by gravity and final aging on fine lees for 15 months in 55% new oak barrels, 35% annual wine and 10% egg-shaped concrete tanks

The Château Pape Clement Clémentin de Pape Clement Blanc is a blend of 75% Sauvignon blanc, 20% Sémillon, 5% Muscadelle and jumps out of the glass with bright, cheerful notes of fresh pineapple, orange blossom and pears, with hints of beeswax and a little brioche . The medium-bodied palate has vibrant aromas of tropical and citrus fruits with a spicy backbone and mineral finish.
