2019 Château Cheval Blanc Le Petit Cheval Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

Along with Château Pétrus and Ausone, Château Cheval Blanc is one of the legends of the right bank. Always possessing enormous concentration, but at the same time finesse and freshness. Le Petit Cheval represents 10% of the estate's production and is a blend of equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc. In a way, this results in a Petit Cheval that is very much Cheval, meaning that it is very expressive in the bouquet but less generous on the palate.

The 2019 Petit Cheval Saint-Émilion Grand Cru has a very attractive bouquet of cedar and tobacco that seems precise and extremely well focused. The oak is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with an aromas, sweet and layered black fruits, creaminess satin texture with a lingering and seductive, modern style finish.
