The Château Canon Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé boasts an intense reddish-purple color and bursts from the glass with vibrant notes of cherry, red currant jelly, wild blueberry, and black raspberry, plus hints of cinnamon powder, clove oil, star anise, and forest earth. The medium-to-full palate is superbly elegant and complex, with beautifully ripe, finely pigmented tannins and bold freshness to support the dense layers of black, red, and blue fruit, finishing long with abundant exotic spice and mineral sparkles.

This 34-hectare cru belongs to the Wertheimer family, just like Château Rauzan Ségla in Margaux. This family also owns the Chanel fashion house. Currently, director John Kolosa and the young cellar master Stéphane Bonnasse are improving the quality year after year. In 2011, the property was expanded by 12.5 hectares with the purchase of the neighboring Château Matras, which was integrated into the second wine, "Clos Canon." Château Canon's terroir is located at the very top of St. Emilion on the limestone plateau and produces a concentrated yet elegant, delicious wine that is on par with the best St. Emilion wines in terms of quality! Organic products are used here to treat diseases, though currently without certification.
