Fresh and elegant rosé sparkling wine from the heart of Le Marche.

The Guerrieri winery in the Metauro Valley in Le Marche

Azienda Agraria Guerrieri is a family-run winery operating in the Marche region, on Italy's east coast, since 1800. The estate is situated in the historic Metauro Valley, just 12 kilometers from the Adriatic Sea and at an altitude of 200 meters. This location offers not only stunning views but also ideal conditions for quality viticulture.

The combination of constant airflow, a temperate climate with distinct temperature fluctuations, and the influence of both the sea and the Apennines produces healthy grapes with aromatic finesse. Guerrieri is known for its sustainable approach and produces not only still wines but also refined sparkling wines, including the Spumante Rosé Extra Dry.

Grape variety and vineyard for Guerrieri Spumante Rosé Extra Dry

The Spumante Rosé Extra Dry is a sparkling rosé made from 100% Sangiovese , sourced from twenty-year-old vines. The vineyards are located on the east bank of the Metauro River, where the soil consists of chalky gray clay with a sublayer of light blue sediment. The vegetation layer is a mixture of clay and silt with small limestone particles formed by centuries of water erosion. The vineyard faces northeast, with a planting density of 3,200 vines per hectare. Harvest takes place in mid-August and is carried out entirely by hand, preceded by careful selection and thinning of the grape bunches to ensure quality.

Fermentation and maturation of the sparkling rosé

After a gentle pneumatic pressing, the grapes are vinified as white wine, using cold static decantation to preserve purity and freshness. The second fermentation takes place using the long Charmat method , during which the wine ferments for nine months in pressurized tanks to develop a fine and persistent mousse.

Color, aroma and taste of Guerrieri Spumante Rosé Extra Dry

In the glass, the wine displays an elegant rosé color with a vibrant sheen. The aroma is fruity, with distinct notes of red fruit such as strawberry, raspberry, and red currant. These are complemented by floral accents that contribute to the wine's refined character.

The taste is fresh, smooth, and fruit-driven, with a fine mousse that enhances the mouthfeel. The residual sugar of 12.7 g/L creates a pleasant balance between softness and freshness, without the wine becoming sweet. The alcohol content is 12%, making it easily digestible and versatile for use at the table.
