The Encruzado Reserva Quinta da Falorca is made from 95% of the finest white grape from the Daô region – the Encruzado. The softness and finesse of the Balavaud Grand Cru Pinot Noir blend beautifully with the tannins and this makes it a very well structured wine. The Pinot Noir was harvested very early to preserve all the complexity of the aromas of this grape variety. Lower yield but high quality. The Balavaud Grand Cru has the typical Burgundy style Pinot Noir aromas with in the nose aromas of ripe red berries, some forest soil and forest fruits. In the mouth the wine is velvety and fine with supple and elegant tannins. Very expressive, charming and elegant.

The 2022 has a fresh aroma of citrus and white flowers. On the palate, it is ample and full, with a light oiliness that carries the fruit beautifully. The finish reveals subtle notes of hay and flowers. The alcohol content is 12.5%, and with 3.9 grams of residual sugar per liter, this is a dry style. The wine has an acidity of 6.2 g/l, which gives it its energy and length. Serve it at around 10°C (50°F) to best express its fresh character.
