Champagne Ruinart Brut
The 'R' de Ruinart Brut is the 'Brut without year of champagne' from champagne house Ruinart. Made in the style of this old champagne house by accurately blending grapes from different harvest years. Characteristic is the beautiful convex bottle. Champagne house Ruinart has been around since 1729 and the house style is characterized by the freshness and elegance of the Chardonnay grape. You can recognize that in this delicious champagne. It is certainly one of the best non-millésimé champagnes of the moment. They make extensive use of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, which leads to very elegant Champagne. The Ruinart 'R' Brut has been rated by the renowned wine press Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast as a dangerous seducer, a complex toast with earthy tones, but also red currant and vanilla are tones that come back in this great Champagne. The champagne gets its wonderful taste by adding 15% from reserve wines of up to 7 years old and has aged for at least 3 years in the beautiful cellars of champagne house Ruinart in Reims.
Ruinart is the oldest surviving champagne house. This house was already established in 1729. Today it is owned by the prestigious LVMH group. This group also owns Louis Vuitton and Möet & Chandon. Champagne house Ruinart has spectacular Gallo-Roman limestone quarries where the champagne ripens in the cool dark. Ruinart champagnes are elegant and harmonious. They have a very fine acidity and an unprecedented complexity.
