Description
Rose et Or is Château Minuty's top rosé. The Rose et Or is made from the finest grapes with a very small production. The wine is grown and produced entirely organically, so no artificial fertilizers, pesticides, or other chemicals are used. Minuty's Rose et Or uses their groundbreaking method, using only the first juice obtained during the production of their rosé wines. The grapes are heavy enough for a first natural pressing, and this first juice is fermented and used for the top-of-the-line Rose et Or and the Cuvée Prestige (a blend of this juice and the first pressing), giving the rosé its luxurious texture and elegance.
Château Minuty has a fully automated bottling line designed to protect its rosé wines from oxidation and preserve their aromatic qualities. Château Minuty (and especially its Rosé et Or and Cuvée Prestige) ranks among the top houses, such as Ott, MIP, AIX, Miraval, and Domaine Tropez, which have pioneered the production of top-quality rosé wines that are excellent as an aperitif and also pair perfectly with lobster, shellfish, white pasta dishes, or a delicious salad. The quality and maturation are also such that the wines remain delicious with aging (2-3 years).
The wine is a blend of primarily Grenache and a small amount of Syrah. The Minuty Rosé et Or is a very lively rosé with concentrated, greedy flavors. It has an intense freshness, slightly salty/mineral. It is a dry rosé without losing its fruit, which is what distinguishes a top rosé.
The Château Minuty vineyard is situated on the slopes of the villages of Gassin and Ramatuelle, overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Harvesting is carried out entirely by hand, with an almost extraordinary perfection. Only the finest grapes are allowed in this vinification, and therefore the first selection is made in the vineyards. Afterward, the grapes are individually inspected in the winery, and only the very best are allowed in the Rosé et Or vinification.

Aromas of red apple, baked strawberry, orange peel and rose. Medium-bodied with a solid core of fresh fruit and berries. Subtle intensity follows through to a generous finish. Pretty. 80% grenache, 10% cinsault, 10% rolle.

From: A Kaleidoscope of Colors: New Rosé Releases (May 2023)
The 2022 Rosé et Or is impossible to ignore with its platinum pink color. Its dazzling bouquet blends crushed pears and nectarines with sweet smoke and a lifting hint of fresh mint. It’s deeply textural yet full of zesty energy. This smoothes over the palate in silken waves. Ripe orchard fruits and sweet inner florals find contrast in a touch of sour citrus toward the close. The Rosé et Or finishes long and fresh. Young peach traces and a salty singe call the taster back to the glass. - Eric Guido

Chateau Minuty is a classic domain from Provence. It is located on the peninsula of Saint-Tropez. Minuty owes its name to the style of the wines and the flawless regularity. The domain works according to simple principles: The vines are grown according to rational cultivation, without weed killers or pesticides. This protected, wooded environment guarantees a privileged ecosystem. The fruit is preserved during extraction to preserve the rich expression of the region.
A renowned Provence winemaker, Château Minuty has been around since 1850, but when it was taken over by Gabriel Farnet (grandfather of the current owners) in 1936, it quickly became recognized as one of Provence's benchmark winemakers. Today Jean-Etienne and François manage the estate and have taken the focus on quality even further by reducing yields, building a new winery, replanting their Carignan and Ugni-Blanc with grenache noir and Vermentino and pioneering the use of the first juice released in the production of their rosé wines. The weight of the grapes is enough to get a first natural pressing and this first juice is fermented and used for the top model the Rose et Or and the Cuvee (a mix of this juice and the first pressing) and gives the rosé wine the luscious texture and elegance. While 70% of the production is rosé wine, there are also some excellent whites and a rich, silky red. All Chateau Minuty wines are very serious, complex wines that are perfectly suited to Provencal cuisine and are a permanent fixture on the most prestigious wine lists of the Côte d'Azur.
