At Cignomoro it is very consciously about the choices they make and have made. They consciously chose Puglia, consciously for the vineyards and to grow their vines there. They chose this because they believe that they can make wine that speaks here. The power of the sun, wind and sea ensure that every sip is unique. They chose the “red countries” between Manduria and Carosino. With the latest vinification techniques, without forgetting the value of a family winery, they ensure that the wines of Cignomoro are among the best in Puglia.
The Cignomoro 6 Anime Puglia Rosso is a blend of Primitivo, Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera, Nero di Troia, Aglianico and Susumaniello. The 6 typical Puglia grapes so that explains the name 6 Anime Puglia. The healthy ripe grapes are crushed and fermented separately in small containers at a regulated temperature. Soaking on the peels for more than twenty days. Maceration takes place in stainless steel tanks. The maturation lasts 8 months in second and third passage medium-toasted French and American oak barriques. The wine then rests for 4 months in the cellars of the domain.
In the glass, the Cignomoro 6 Anime Puglia Rosso has a deep, dark purple color with beautiful notes of ripe fruit in the nose, such as blackcurrants and blackberries, with a hint of toasted oak, chocolate, almonds and coffee. It is soft on the palate, with a great concentration of excellent fruit, beautifully balanced with delicate, soft tannins.
