The Bogle family has been active in agriculture for over 100 years. Since the late 1960s, they have also grown grapes in the California wine region of Clarksburg and later also Lodi. This wine is made from Pinot Noir grapes that come from vineyards in the Russian River Valley, Monterey and Clarksburg. The wine is aged for 10 months in French and American oak barrels.

The Bogle Essential Red is an attractive blend of Old Vine Zinfandel, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah and together this makes a delicious wine. The Essential Red matures in American oak barrels for 12 months. The Bogle Essential Red is mouth-filling with ripe red fruit, sweet cherries, spices and vanilla. The wine is juicy with fine acids and silky smooth with a soft fruity finish. Drink this red wine at a temperature of 16°C. Delicious with the barbecue or roast of red meat or veal shank, grilled kangaroo and black pudding also go great. The 2022 vintage is a blend of 57% Petite Sirah, 21% Teroldego, 12% Zinfandel, 10% Syrah

Bogle is certified by several agencies: California Certified Sustainable Winegrowing, Lodi Rules Certified Green Certificate and the “Sacramento Area Sustainable Business” Certificate.

The Bogle family has been growing wines since the nineteenth century. It wasn't until around 1968 that the family planted the first vines near Clarksburgh USA. After years of hard work, the Bogle family has more than 1,200 acres of viticulture in California. With the growth of the company, the family established a name within the wine world, both in America and abroad. The main reason for the success is that the family is engaged in the production of wine on a daily basis. The family understands that high quality wines start with excellent grape varieties. They ensure this by working organically with respect for the land and the environment. The story behind the pheasant on the labels of the wines is as follows. The family wanted a label that reflected the region of the vineyards. The family came into contact with the artist Paul Lorenzi, who was sketching the wines one evening. Suddenly a beautiful pheasant sat in the middle of the vineyard. The Bogle wines label was born!

Bogle Vineyards works organically. Bogle is certified by several agencies: California Certified Sustainable Winegrowing, Lodi Rules Certified Green Certificate and the “Sacramento Area Sustainable Business” Certificate.
