2022 Antonio Caggiano Fiagre Campania Bianco

Made from a beautiful combination of 70% Fiano di Avellino and 30% Greco di Tufo grapes. Fiano is an autochthonous white grape from Campania, which is in the same aroma area as Greco, but usually has a little less acidity and often a little more exuberant fruit fat with ripe apple and a waxy texture. Fiano-based wines also have great storage potential. Together with greco and falanghina, the Fiano forms the typical white grape variety in Campania.

This tasty, fresh and fruity white wine has a beautiful straw yellow color and is nicely balanced with its aromas of (white) fruit and minerals. The wine is very tasty, has a broad palette and is soft in taste with a wonderfully lingering aroma of sweet spices, blond tobacco and a delicate aroma of roasting. Well balanced and a nice acidity.

This Fiagre Campania Bianco was produced by the Italian quality wine house Antonio Caggiano from Campania . One of the top wineries we like to connect our name to! That is why this beautiful winery is included in our Grand Cru wines exclusive range.

The wine comes from vineyards from areas where the DOCG Greco di Tufo and Fiano di Avellino are traditionally produced. The vineyards there are about 400 meters above sea level. The soil of the vineyards is a mixture of clay and limestone. The grapes are harvested in mid-October. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in stainless steel vats. The wine then ages in the bottle for about 6 months. Suckling gives these wines (2017) no less than 94/100 points. Quite unique for a wine in this price range. The Fiagre Campania Blanco tastes great with a meal with fish, shellfish and crustaceans. Also delicious with vegetarian dishes, starters and with a cozy drink with snacks.
