2019 Château Saint-Pierre Saint-Julien Grand Cru Classé

Since 1982, this Cru Classé has been owned by Les Domaines Henri Martin. It is his son-in-law Jean Louis Triaud who has brought this cru to the top of the appellation in recent years (just as he did with Ch. Gloria).

The 2019 Château Saint-Pierre is a fleshy, sensual wine that bursts from the glass with aromas of cherries, blackberries and subtle spices. Full, velvety and enveloping, seamless and polished, with a sweet core of fruit, melting tannins and juicy acidity, ending with a nicely defined finish. The Saint-Pierre is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon 79%, Merlot 21%. More overtly ripe than its stable mate Gloria, this vintage 2019 Saint-Pierre is the most gastronomic, direct wine from Saint-Julien and is good to drink from his early years.
