The Bogle family has been active in agriculture for over 100 years. Since the late 1960s, grapes have also been grown in the Californian wine region of Clarksburg and later also Lodi. The Zinfandel grapes come from vineyards in Lodi and Amador County. The vineyards are on average between 60-80 years old, hence the name Old Vines. The Zinfandel grapes have spent 12 months in second-year American oak.

The Bogle Old Vine Zinfandel is juicy with sweet ripe fruit and a characterful texture with harmonious tannins and a beautiful long spicy finish. In the glass the Zinfandel has an intense ruby color with firm tears; striking spicy nose with black plums and meaty smoked undertones. The Bogle Zinfandel is a powerful wine with complex aromas of pomegranate, pepper and anise. Bogle is certified by various bodies: California Certified Sustainable Winegrowing, Lodi Rules Certified Green Certificate and the “Sacramento Area Sustainable Business” Certificate.

The Bogle family has been growing wines since the nineteenth century. It wasn't until around 1968 that the family planted the first vines near Clarksburgh USA. After years of hard work, the Bogle family has more than 1,200 acres of viticulture in California. With the growth of the company, the family established a name within the wine world, both in America and abroad. The main reason for the success is that the family is engaged in the production of wine on a daily basis. The family understands that high quality wines start with excellent grape varieties. They ensure this by working organically with respect for the land and the environment. The story behind the pheasant on the labels of the wines is as follows. The family wanted a label that reflected the region of the vineyards. The family came into contact with the artist Paul Lorenzi, who was sketching the wines one evening. Suddenly a beautiful pheasant sat in the middle of the vineyard. The Bogle wines label was born!

Bogle Vineyards works organically. Bogle is certified by several agencies: California Certified Sustainable Winegrowing, Lodi Rules Certified Green Certificate and the “Sacramento Area Sustainable Business” Certificate.
