Misty Cove is het relatief jonge wijnbedrijf van wijnmaker Andrew Bailey en zijn Nederlandse vrouw Marieke. De druiven zijn afkomstig uit de beste wijngaarden van Marlborough en Central Otago, die Andrew gedeeltelijk in eigendom heeft. Misty Cove maakt hiervan zuivere en vooral karakteristieke wijnen die zich reeds op een groot aantal concoursen onderscheiden hebben. Het bedrijf heeft een grote affiniteit met duurzaamheid. Omdat Andrew door zijn Nederlandse vrouw regelmatig in ons land is, hebben zijn wijnen inmiddels een grote bekendheid in restaurants en wijnspeciaalzaken zoals Grandcruwijnen.
De Misty Cove Organic Sauvignon Blanc komt uit de top-range van dit fraaie wijnhuis gemaakt met respect voor de natuur. Gecertificeerd biologisch door BioGro. Deze biologische Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc levert prachtige smaken en een geweldig mondgevoel met aanhoudende minerale tonen. Heldere citrustonen van citroen, limoen en mandarijn zijn overvloedig aanwezig in de neus, deze tonen gaan goed samen met vers gemaaid gras en lichte vuursteen. De smaak is elegant en verfijnd, met delicate zuren die in evenwicht worden gehouden door een prachtige natuurlijke zoetheid.
