The Momo Pinot Noir 2023 is an elegant red wine from the Marlborough region of New Zealand, produced by Seresin Estate. The name "Momo" means "descendant" in Māori, emphasizing the close connection with the parent company.
Tasting notes: This Pinot Noir offers lively aromas of ripe cherries and red berries. The palate is juicy and complete, with firm tannins in harmony with the fruit and acidity.
Vineyard & Vinification: The grapes for this wine come from organically certified vineyards. After harvest, the grapes are destemmed and fermented in small open top fermenters with selected yeast. The wine is then aged for 10 months in a combination of stainless steel vats and neutral oak barrels.

MOMO, wat betekent nakomelingen in Maori, is de tweede lijn van het bekende Seresin Estate in Marlborough, Nieuw-Zeeland. De wijnmakers kiezen voor duurzame en/of biologisch geteelde druiven van een klein aantal toegewijde kwekers, waarmee Seresin een nauwe band heeft. Ook hier is het principe dat de wijn voor het grootste deel in de wijngaard gemaakt wordt, en past men een hedendaagse vinificatie toe. Momo heeft zijn eigen identiteit; het vinifiëren van wijnen waar het ras en de essentie van de druif voorop staat.
