Emilio Moro from Ribera de Duero in the heart of the DO is seen by the other top producers as one of the emerging new stars in the area. With 70 hectares of Tinto Fino from old autochthonous clones, Emilio Moro produces wines that excel in purity, elegance and complexity.
Finca Resalso is the name of the historic vineyard planted in 1932, the year Emilio Moro, father of the third generation of the Moro family, was born. It is the most refreshing version of Emilio Moro's Tempranillo wines
While you wait for the 'great' wines of Moro to reach their peak, you can fully enjoy this fruity, youthful Tempranillo from Emilio Moro. In the glass the wine has a cherry red color with purple hues. In the nose, the scent and intensity of the wine stimulates the senses. Pure fruit enjoyment of strawberries, cherries, raspberries, licorice and black forest fruits. The Finca Resalso is lively, with a spicy touch and just enough structure due to the 4 months of aging in French barriques. It is a very nice wine with a well-developed structure that makes it very pleasant to drink. The Resalso has an excellent price-quality ratio. This is a great wine with steaks, burgers, stews and the better charcuterie. In the April edition of Hubrecht Duijker, Emilio Moro's Finca Resalso receives a favorable review and the predicate 'Recommended'. 91/100 Suckling

Wine is like a living being that you must understand and care for' is a statement by Emilio Moro after which a large wine estate within Ribera del Duero was named. The contemporary cellar, which replaced the old one in 2001, is located in the hamlet of Pesquera de Duero, 198 kilometers north of Madrid. Emilio's grandsons, Javier and José, are in charge and implement a consistent quality policy. The grapes, all tinto fino (a regional variant of tempranillo), come from more than 200 hectares at altitudes of 750 to 1000 meters. The youngest wine, which received four months of barrel rest, is called Finca Resalso. The delicious 2014 seduces with thick black fruit, including cassis, hints of licorice and laurel, a pinch of herbs and a very controlled amount of wood.
