Description
The Château Pédesclaux Pauillac Grand Cru Classé 2021 comes from the Pauillac appellation in the Bordeaux region of France and belongs to the Cinquième Grand Cru Classé according to the 1855 classification. The 2021 vintage is composed of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot.
In the glass, this wine shows a ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose is refined and fresh, with aromas of red and black berries, floral accents such as violets, and a subtle touch of graphite and tobacco. In the mouth, the wine presents itself with elegance and precision: fresh acidity, ripe but fine-grained tannins and a remarkably pure fruit profile. The structure is leaner than in warmer years, but retains a beautiful depth and complexity. The finish is long, mineral and spicy, with a lively freshness typical of this vintage.
Château Pédesclaux 2021 is a wine with a classic signature and a special gastronomic profile. It goes perfectly with refined meat dishes such as roast veal, rack of lamb or poultry, but also with lighter game dishes. Preferably decant and serve at a temperature of 17 to 18 ° C to fully express its aromatic finesse.

Professional Reviews
Parker
The 2021 Pedésclaux is a strong effort that's turned out well in bottle, offering up aromas of cassis, dark berries, violets and pencil shavings, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy palate with powdery tannins, lively acids and a vibrant core of fruit.

From: 2+2=5: Bordeaux 2021 In Bottle (Feb 2024)
The 2021 Pédesclaux has retained its marine/estuarine scented bouquet that is well-defined and focused: blackberry, cedar and graphite scents, not amazingly complex but fresh, with no signs of greenness. The palate is medium-bodied with sapid black fruit, a little softer than some of its peers—quite a "fluid" Pauillac with an easygoing, lightly spiced finish. It should drink well for up to 20 years.
