2021 Bogle Vineyard Chardonnay
The Bogle family has been farming for over 100 years. Since the late 1960s, grapes have also been grown in the California wine region of Clarksburg and later Lodi. Part of the wine ferments in new oak barrels; part ripens 'sur lie' and part ferments malolactic. All in all, an (affordable) textbook example of Californian Chardonnay. In the glass the wine is golden yellow with thick tears. The Bogle Chardonnay has the typical apple and pear flavors and you can also taste vanilla due to the wood aging. The wood-aged wine is beautifully full and creamy and has a wonderfully long aftertaste.
Bogle is certified by several agencies: California Certified Sustainable Winegrowing, Lodi Rules Certified Green Certificate and the “Sacramento Area Sustainable Business” Certificate.
