2020 Emilio Moro Vendimia Seleccionada

Every year, the best plot of the vineyard from which Emilio Moro is made is selected by the Moro family and used for the scarce Vendimia Seleccionada (Select Harvest).

The grapes come from the Turquilla vineyard, which has a clayey soil and is located 900 m above sea level. Fermented at controlled temperature and aged in American and French oak barrels (50-50) for 12 months, combining the use of new and second year oak. Around 10,000 bottles of Emilio Moro Vendimia Seleccionada world wine are available and are allocated to a limited number of importers (including Grandcru wines). That is why you will not see this wine that often and we also only receive a handful of this wine.

The Vendimia Seleccionada shows the Emilio Moro house style and the pure taste of Tempranillo on high ground. The wine has good ripeness and concentration, oak and grainy tannins present and shows remarkable freshness. Beautiful ruby red, with red and dark fruit and a bit of leather, cedar and espresso and a bit of plum, full but also fresh in the mouth.
