Aromas of lots of red fruit including cherries and raspberries. Very nice and soft tannins, full and round. The wine is aged for 12 months in wooden barrels, then rests for 4 months in the bottle. This wine will be the flagship of Tenuta Il palagio. This anniversary wine is based on the date Il Palagio was founded (1530). Very limited availability.

Il Palagio is a wine estate located near the medieval town of Figline Valdarno known as the 'Farm of Florence'. They owe this nickname to the abundance of maize that used to be there.
