Description
The Graham Beck Brut Blanc de Blancs is made from 100% Chardonnay. This delicious and versatile South African "Champagne" combines rich creamy aromas with hints of fresh lime fruit on the nose. On the palate you can expect an exciting fine mousse with an explosion of fruit. The Blanc de Blancs has a beautiful bouquet with lemon, hints of white peach and apple blossom that is very well defined and seductive. On the palate the wine has subtle hints of dried mango and Golden Delicious. The palate is crisp and tight with a sobriety that you would expect from a good Blanc de Blancs.
The grapes for this wine were hand selected from the limestone vineyards on the Robertson estate. These vineyards have a high natural lime content in the soil, which guarantees a low pH and high natural acidity in the young base wines. Only the premium quality juice is selected for fermentation. 50% of the cuvée is fermented in Champenoise 205 liter barrels to ensure richness and extra dimension of flavor and creamy texture. Only 7% new barrels are added each year to the older barrels to ensure harmony during fermentation. After fermentation the wine is then bottled for the second fermentation with yeast contact of at least 36 months before disgorgement (removal of the yeast).
Delicious as an aperitif and also very tasty with fish, soft white mould cheeses and with a fruit dessert.

Graham Beck winery is located in Robertson, South Africa, in the Western Cape province about 175km from Cape Town. In 1983, Graham Beck bought a farm in Robertson with only one goal in mind: to start a top wine house. And it worked! In the meantime, there has been considerable expansion and Graham Beck Wines has 4 wineries in Franschhoek, Robertson and Stellenbosch with a total of almost 400 hectares of vineyards.
Because this winery has access to different areas, it is possible to plant the perfect grape in the right area based on the correct micro-climate & soil combination. As a result, winery Graham Beck creates the perfect conditions for itself, which ensures harvests that can be called fantastic.
This winery works with an eye for detail and you can taste that in the wines. Graham Beck winery is very successful and is now known for its great sparkling wines that are champagne-like but at a much better price.
