Château Rauzan-Ségla has a long and storied history dating back to the 17th century. The estate was originally part of the larger Rauzan estate, which was split into four separate properties in 1762. The portion that would become Rauzan-Ségla was acquired by Nicolas-Alexandre de Ségla, and the estate has borne his name ever since. Over the years, the property has changed hands several times and has experienced periods of prosperity and decline. In the late 19th century, the estate was owned by the Frey family. However, like many properties in Bordeaux, it faced challenges during the phylloxera and economic downturn. In 1994, Château Rauzan-Ségla was purchased by the Wertheimer family, who also own the famous luxury goods company Chanel. The Wertheimers have invested in the estate and worked to restore its reputation for producing high-quality wines.

The Rauzan-Ségla 2019 is a magnificent wine with a beautiful ruby red colour and aromas of cassis, blackberries, violets, rose petals and sweet earth tones on the nose. Medium to full, seamless and concentrated, deep and layered, with beautifully refined tannins, lively acidity and a long, perfumed finish. This is a sensual, elegant Rauzan-Ségla. This is a 1.5 litre magnum.
