In the summer of 2012, Radio-Coteau acquired a historic 100-acre Estate Vineyard and ranch on a hill above the town of Occidental. Originally known as Joseph Morelli & Sons before Prohibition, the Lemorel Winery (as it later became known) dates back to 1892, when the first vines were planted. The estate is half a mile and has a very diverse agro-ecosystem based on the prized Goldridge soil. The old Syrah Zinfandel has been preserved, and the existing area has recently been replanted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This winery is now one of the absolute top from California - Mendocino

The soil and climate of Radio-Coteau's Savoy vineyard shows many similarities with French Burgundy. This inspired the winegrower to plant Chardonnay and make an impressive wine. Specifically, two varieties are used: 70% Wente and 30% Prosser. The Radio-Coteau Chardonnay Savoy was aged for 15 months in 30% new French oak before being bottled. The wine has a drinking window of at least 10 years. In the nose clear notes of toasted honey, apple and baked pears, pineapple and tropical notes, fresh cantaloupe. In the mouth the wine is lightly toasted by the oak barrique upbringing with many fruit elements, sweet spices from the bakery, nuts and almond peel and caramelised lemon. Closed with a richness reminiscent of the softness of crème fraiche in taste and mouthfeel.
