2017 Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvee Chaupin

The Janasse Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Chaupin was harvested at the beginning of October. This amazing blissful fresh and pure chateanuaf du pape shows   licorice , violets ,   flowers and black fruit. This is a medium   to full-bodied wine that is beautifully balanced with e and   lively atmosphere   in the mouth and very much depth and complexity . The Cuvee Chaupin of Domaine de la Janasse is made of 100% Grenache in that   comes from   very   old vines   and   sandy soils. if it works, give it a few years and enjoy it for at least 10-15 years . The 2017 has received 93-95 Parker points (tasted from the barrel) and is extremely scarce for sure Domaine de la Janasse makes absolute top wines across the board, and there is an absolute run on these wines.

Domaine de la Janasse dates from 1967 when it was founded by Aimé Sabon with 15 hectares of vineyard. The total surface area is now 55 hectares and is currently being run by son Christophe and his sister Isabelle. The vineyards are located on a difficult surface of pebble, sand and large boulders. The vines are 40 to 80 years old. The yield is usually less than 30 hl / ha due to strict pruning and a rigorous vendange distance.
The big breakthrough of Janasse came in 2007, when their Châteauneuf du Pape "Veilles Vignes" scored 100 points Parker !! All their wines score excellent year after year. The quality of this domaine is so great that even their "regular" Cotes-du-Rhone already has a worldwide reputation! This is really a TOP domain!
