Description
They are among the secret heroes of the international wine world: winegrowers such as the quality-oriented Carlos Figueiredo, who respects his native Dão and the local terroir, but at the same time also produces wines at world level. In his wines, wine lovers will find the individuality that is often lost in times of increasing globalization of wine taste: authentic, traditionally prepared wines with a radiant regional character, made from indigenous grape varieties in a small edition.
The Reserve Quinta Da Falorca Lagar is a blend of Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro and Tempranillo (Tinta Roriz) (and has matured for 18 months in 2nd year and new French oak. This Falorca is also very Burgundian and elegant, but also powerful with expressive flavors that combine with will continue to develop over time. The powerful, almost black, deep purple color alone is a magnificent sight. The unprecedentedly inviting, intensive bouquet has beautiful aromas. The aromas consist of ripe plums, blackcurrants, rose aromas, flowering heather, pine needles, dark chocolate and mocha beans. In the mouth you taste the same complexity. Excellent tannins. An admirable harmony between aromas of the barrel and subtle fruits. The feeling in the mouth is wonderfully dense. The aftertaste has an impressive structure with lots of spices, which is typical for the Portuguese king grape: Touriga Nacional, which dominates this cuvée.
A wine with so much power also needs equal partners at the table. For example, a côte de bœuf, a dry aged entrecôte or a leg of lamb with lots of herbs and spices.

Located in Pindelos or Silgueiros, Quinta da Falorca is the reference model and top wine house from the Portuguese Dão. No volumes but only quality. It is therefore quite difficult to get a Quinta da Falorca and especially their high-end wines. This is due to a number of factors, namely:
- unprecedented fine wines
- made in very small quantities
- and still very affordable
