The Parés Baltà Absis 2014 is a complex and powerful red wine from the Penedès region of Catalonia, Spain. Founded in 1790 and located west of Barcelona, this family-run winery is currently run by the Cusiné family. With an area of 214 hectares, ranging from 170 to 750 meters above sea level, Parés Baltà cultivates a variety of grape varieties in diverse microclimates and soil types. Since 2004, all of their wines have been certified organic and biodynamic.

The Absis 2014 is a blend of 59% Tempranillo, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 12% Syrah, from organic and biodynamically managed vineyards. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified separately. Maceration and fermentation take place in 400-litre French oak barrels at a controlled temperature of 24-26°C, for 29, 31, 23 and 21 days respectively. The wine is then aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels from Allier.

Colour: Intense purple with cherry red reflections.
Nose: High concentration and complexity with aromas of sweet red fruits, raisins, plums and mulberries, harmoniously integrated with notes of toasted oak and balsamic.
Taste: Full, powerful and concentrated, with a long and pleasant aftertaste.

This full-bodied red wine combines excellently with grilled meats, stewed dishes and mature cheeses. Serve at a temperature between 16-18°C for the optimal taste experience.
