Morey-Saint-Denis - Chardonnay
Het dorp Morey-Saint Denis ligt tussen twee zeer beroemde buren - Gevrey-Chambertin en Chambolle-Musigny in de Bourgondische Côte de Nuits. Maar met 20 kleine Premier Cru-wijngaarden en vijf Grand Cru-locaties (Clos Saint-Denis, Clos de la Roche, Clos des Lambrays, Clos de Tart en een zeer minuscule hoeveelheid Bonnes Mares) kan deze regio bogen op zijn eigen bekendheid. Zowel Pinot Noir- als Chardonnay-wijnen worden hier geproduceerd, waarbij de laatste een veel uitdagender vondst is, aangezien het goed is voor minder dan 10 procent van de productie. De geproduceerde wijnen hebben een bepaald rustiek karakter en de wijngaarden zelf, een paar Premiers Crus en een paar wijngaarden die in het dorp zijn gerangschikt, gaan verder de heuvel op, tot wel 350 meter hoog.
