Originating from Tuscany in central Italy, Brunello enjoys the distinction of being one of Italy's most beloved wines. Brunello di Montalcino comes from the hills around the town of Montalcino, which is about 42 km south of Siena.

Brunello ages well and is easy to collect. The wine is powerful, rich and full of flavour. Red and black fruits clearly adorn the nose and palate.

Brunello is made entirely from Sangiovese grapes that take on the characteristics of the soil, vegetation and climate of the region in which it is grown and the Montepulciano hill from which the Brunello di Montepulciano comes has a very unique soil type.

Layered aromas and velvety tannins complement the medium acidity. Consider decanting this wine to enjoy its full complexity.

This Tuscan wine is in great demand worldwide, loved for its powerful, beautiful complexity, full-bodied, with delicious scents and flavors of ripe dark red forest fruit. In the long lasting aftertaste you can enjoy the silky tannins. The fact that the Brunellos can age very well also makes this wine very popular.

This wine goes well with large dishes full of protein. You can also enjoy it with cured cheeses and cured meats. Try to avoid pairing with dishes where the wine would overpower flavors, such as leafy greens and delicately spiced meats.
