Champagne L. Bénard-Pitois Brut Reserve Premier Cru
The family has been producing champagne since 1895. They do this in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ (just a few kilometers from the town of Epernay). The third generation is currently continuing the tradition and Michelle and Laurent are providing excellent champagnes. The champagnes that come from Bernard-Pitois are all made in a sustainable way.
The vineyard is classified as Premier Cru and has 9.5 hectares spread over 6 different villages. Supported by vines that are on average 25 years old, grapes show the best of the potential of the plots and varieties.
The L. Bénard-Pitois Reserve Brut Premier Cru is made from the typical champagne grapes with 60% Pinot noir and 40% Chardonnay with a long upbringing so befits a real Premier Cru Brut Reserve. The Reserve Brut Premier Cru has a beautiful light golden color. Beautiful ripened notes of dried apricot and caramelised honey appear in the nose. We taste a delicious fresh acidity and a pleasant bitterness in the mouth. The bubble gives a fresh and subtle sensation that is accompanied by a long finish. This top model from Benard-Pitois is a fantastic champagne produced with respect for people and nature. For us incomparable with the mass-produced champagnes but on the contrary a champagne with a soul and character. Try to get a good Reserve Brut for this price and with this quality. We face the challenge !! . The champagnes of L. Bénard-Pitois are highly recommended by the Grandcru wine team.
