Description
The UP Ultimate Provence rosé is a blend of the grape varieties Grenache Noir (30%), Cinsault (30%), Syrah (30%) and Rolle Alexis Cornu (10%). The wine comes from the Appellation Côtes de Provence. The Ulitimate Provence terroir covers 114 hectares of which approximately 1/3 are vineyards and the rest is pure nature. The vineyard is nestled in La Garde-Freinet, in the beautiful hinterland of the Var near Saint-Tropez. The estate is crisscrossed with vines and is also dotted with olive trees. The vines are also protected by the Massif des Maures mountain range. They grow on a soil of sandstone and slate.
For this UP Ultimate Provence Rose, the grapes are harvested in the relative coolness of the night to avoid premature fermentation and thus preserve the freshness that is so typical of a (good) Provence rosé. Did you know that the UP Ultimate Provence rose is made by the same winemakers as the famous Chateau de Berne? The UP Ultimate Provence rosé has a very seductive nose and a pale color. In the mouth, the intense fruitiness of ripe red fruit such as raspberries and strawberries is supported in the palate by a slightly mineral freshness, enhanced by spicy notes of white pepper and light red fruit. Do not drink this rosé wine too cold, that is a waste of this beautiful wine. Around 8-10°C is perfect.
The UP is a fresh wine with high acidity for food pairing, but roundness to enjoy on its own. The spicy notes of the Syrah provide a dry, white pepper that is characteristic. A touch of Rolle gives great acidity and clarity that gives notes of winter citrus, herbs and a warm finish. Ultimate Provence rosé is a perfect wine to take to a BBQ and serve with grilled chicken or vegetable skewers. You can also combine the wine with shellfish, salads or seafood. In addition to the content, the presentation is also great and this bottle is a jewel on the table. This is a half bottle of 0.375 ltr. Perfect for 3 delicious glasses for this beautiful rosé.

1. Salad with grilled zucchini, cherry tomatoes, feta and basil
The freshness of the vegetables and the salty character of the feta match the fresh, fruity and slightly spicy style of the rosé. The basil emphasizes the Provencal aromas in the wine.
2. Grilled chicken fillet with lemon and thyme
The subtle taste of chicken makes the wine stand out, while lemon and thyme accentuate the freshness and spiciness in the wine. A light dish that perfectly matches the character of the UP Rosé.
3. Pasta with roasted peppers, olive oil, garlic and Parmesan cheese
The soft texture of the pasta and the roasted character of the peppers go well with the ripe fruit in the wine. Garlic and cheese provide depth without being overpowering.
4. Grilled salmon with cucumber and dill salad
Salmon has enough structure to carry the fresh character of the wine. The light smoky flavor of grilled salmon matches the subtle spiciness of the wine, and the salad provides freshness and contrast.
5. Quiche with spinach, leek and goat cheese
The creaminess of the quiche is refreshed by the acidity of the rosé. Spinach and leek add earthy, green notes that complement the mineral undertones of the wine, while the goat cheese adds a pleasant salty note.
6. Shrimp with garlic, parsley and lemon, briefly fried in olive oil
The freshness of lemon and the juicy texture of the shrimp are an excellent match with the lively acidity and citrus profile of the wine. Parsley underlines the Mediterranean character of both the dish and the rosé.
