The Chardonnay grapes for this Chardonnay from Lievland are destemmed, cooled, and gently pressed after harvesting. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with minimal contact with oxygen. This benefits the aroma and freshness. After a few months of aging (sur lie) on the fine sediment of inactive yeast cells, the wine is clarified and filtered.
The Chardonnay from Lievland Vineyards is an almost French-style Chardonnay. It is a delicious, fresh, and juicy wine, without oak aging. On the nose, fresh aromas of lime, some riper yellow fruit, and nuts. The lovely fresh acidity on the palate ensures a very pleasant finish.
