Description
A beautiful full red wine with aromas of cherries, plums and some coffee/leather. A juicy attack with lots of red fruit in the taste. It is an accessible wine with lots of taste, nice and juicy, concentrated and has a beautiful aftertaste with fresh acids. The wine is already much more accessible than its big brother the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Robert Parker speaks of "Here's a terrific easy-drinking wine from a classic vintage" and there is nothing to add to that. One of the best Montepluciano's. An impressive quality for the money.
Frederico Carletti, the current owner of Azienda Agricola Poliziano, is responsible for a revolutionary change. Carletti has turned Poliziano into a real wine producing company, which produces and bottles its own wines. He left for Piedmont to study oenology at university. He then did internships with various wine producers, to gain the necessary practical experience. Then it was time to make his childhood dream come true. Since he took over in 1981, the company's star has risen rapidly.
Among the innovations he introduced were the planting of new grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the creation of new wines such as Le Stanze, Elegia and a Riserva of separate vineyards, such as Vigna Asinone. With these showpieces Carletti won the hearts of wine lovers and won numerous prizes at international competitions. Poliziano is now generally regarded as one of the great pioneers of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
FACT: The wine is stored in our air-conditioned Wine Warehouse and if you come to collect the wine you will also receive a nice discount.
