2023 GrandRosé Excellence

This bold blend of 35% Grenache, 25% Cinsault, 25% Syrah and 15% Rolle presents a delicate and terroir driven wine. Incomparable to the commercial marketing driven rosé's - This is a serious wine. As a young wine it has a pale salmon pink color. The first nose is full, elegant, with notes of grapefruit, white peach and strawberry. The palate is full and elegant, with persistent floral notes. This is not just any rosé, as it has the potential to mature a bit and still retain a beautiful freshness. The GrandRosé Excellence is a wine to enjoy with friends and family, but also a wine that should be taken seriously with dishes and wine combinations.

The Grandrosé roses come from part of the most premium appellation, namely the AOP Côtes de Provence and this should not be confused with the AOP Coteaux d'Aix, Coteaux Varois or IGP Var. This appellation contains a 'grandcru area' called Pierrefeu and this is where the most beautiful rosés are made. Pierrefeu benefits from a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and mild winters. The vineyards are located on rolling hills protected by nearby mountains, providing ideal conditions for wine growing. The soil in Pierrefeu consists mainly of schist and limestone, which contributes to the minerality and intensity of the wines. The sea breeze ensures healthy vineyards without the need for pesticides or fertilizers. The chalky/slate soil provides minerality and the altitude and fresh wind ensure good acidity. This is what it takes to produce a beautiful rosé and that is the case with Grandrose. The name fully lives up to it.
