Description
The Dumanet wines are the house wines in a number of star restaurants. As a condition for being allowed to carry these wines, we are not allowed to release the names of these restaurants, but these are sounding names and we can actually understand that people like to work with Dumanet wines because the quality is very good, the price is very attractive and the style in which the wines are made means that this is highly appreciated by almost everyone.
The Viognier grape has its origins in the northern Rhône region, but it appears to be doing more than excellently in the Languedoc. Moreover, nowadays there are also many wine drinkers who are looking for alternatives to the ubiquitous Chardonnay. The soft wines based on Viognier from the south of France prove to be an attractive and affordable alternative. This grape produces delicious full and juicy wines, with tropical fruit and a beautiful supple character. The grapes come from vineyards around the cities of Narbonne, Beziers and Montpellier, from the members of the cooperative Vignerons du Narbonnais, the dynamic cave of Narbonne and surrounding areas. The fine clay soils of these vineyards produce a wonderfully soft wine that is bursting with tropical fruit.
The Dumanet Viognier has a pale straw yellow color in the glass. Powerful aroma on the nose, pleasant apricots, acacia blossom, almonds, fine white fruit, broad and complex. In the mouth the wine is full bodied and aromatic as befits the Viognier grape. Soft and luscious, small fat, nice and supple and soft white.
FACT : The label depicts 2 men cycling, reminiscent of the beautiful bike rides through the vineyards. In the past, the winemaker cycled through the vineyards with the thought of one day turning them into a top wine, well, he succeeded so many years later.
