2022 Dumanet Cabernet Sauvignon
How does this wine taste?
How full and heavy the wine feels in your mouth, like the difference between skimmed milk and cream. More alcohol, sugar and oak ageing make a wine fuller.
The drying, grippy feel on your gums and tongue, as with strong tea. It comes from the skins and seeds of black grapes and from oak, and softens with age.
How much sugar you taste, from dry to sweet. Fruity is not the same as sweet: a dry wine can taste of ripe fruit.
How fresh and juicy the wine is: acidity makes your mouth water. High acidity tastes lively and refreshing, low acidity soft and round.

Log inThe Dumanet wines are the house wines in a number of star restaurants. As a condition for being allowed to carry these wines, we are not allowed to release the names of these restaurants, but these are sounding names and we can actually understand that people like to work with Dumanet wines because the quality is very good, the price is very attractive and the style in which the wines are made means that this is highly appreciated by almost everyone.
The Cabernet Sauvignon grape has now gained a strong foothold in the Languedoc. It always takes some time to find the right substrate, but in places with poorer soil this grape ripens under almost ideal conditions. The grapes come from vineyards around the cities of Narbonne, Beziers and Montpellier. The climate here is warm enough to allow the cabernet skins to ripen properly, so that the wine from this classic Bordeaux grape has a wonderfully round and supple character. It is made on its fruit, with a lot of strength and nice flexibility. Classic, yet beautifully ripe and soft. A successful example of what the Pays d'Oc has to offer in terms of tasty red.
The Dumanet Cabernet Sauvignon has an intense cherry red color in the glass with notes of plums, blueberries and black cherries, jam, sultry, smoky, coffee, beautifully fruity in the nose. In the mouth the wine is intense and powerful, ripe and sultry, polished, chocolate, full and intense, creamy final with a little pepper. We recommend drinking this wine at around 16 degrees.
FACT : The label depicts 2 men cycling, reminiscent of the beautiful bike rides through the vineyards. In the past, the winemaker cycled through the vineyards with the thought of one day turning them into a top wine, well, he succeeded so many years later.

The climate is perfect for a multitude of grapes and gives warm and fruity wines with a certain minerality as the soil structure on which the vineyards are situated contains a lot of lime, clay and pebbles. Also, the warm day temperatures, but the cooling in the evening due to the proximity of the very for a good ratio between day and night temperatures, which also gives the wines a good freshness. The price/quality ratio of the Dumanet wines is unparalleled.
