Description
Around Châteauneuf-du-Pape stretches a landscape of gently rolling hills and sometimes large plateaus. The characteristic soil is reddish earth covered with round pebbles, small and large: Galets or Caillous roulés. These were carried by the Rhône glacier at the time. In some places the layer of pebbles is one and a half to two metres thick. The stones ensure that the grapes ripen completely, because during the day they collect the sun's heat and radiate it again at night. 13 grape varieties are permitted for making Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the wine is therefore always a blend (a combination of different grape varieties). Each variety adds something of its own to the wine. White Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a fairly rare, surprisingly beautiful wine of high quality.
The Mont Redon team produces a beautiful and elegant Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc made from 55% Grenache, 20% Clairette and the rest Bourboulenc and other permitted varieties. The wine is aged in stainless steel for six months. The Mont-Redon is an aromatic white Châteauneuf with soft citrus fruit, beautiful minerality and good acidity. Bright golden yellow. Fresh and lively thanks to sufficient acidity. Round and supple in the mouth, long finish with notes of honey and almonds. A white Châteauneuf-du-pape is rare and oh so refined.

Professional Reviews
Parker
Evoking fresh and delicate aromas of ripe orchard fruits, white fruits, spices and spring blossoms, the 2023 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is medium to full-bodied, juicy and mouth coating, with a velvety attack, a satiny mid-palate and a long, fresh, saline finish. This blend of 55% Grenache Blanc, 20% Clairette, 15% Roussanne and 10% Picpoul Blanc, matured entirely in stainless steel, is a real success.
