Description
Château Latour-Martillac 2022 Blanc
Château Latour-Martillac 2022 Blanc is a classic example from the winery with a blend of 52% Sauvignon Blanc and 48% Sémillon. This wine is known for its aromatic profile with exotic fruits and citrus aromas, as well as delicate aromas of white peach. The wine has a beautiful tension that provides freshness and supports its body and richness in the aftertaste.
Vineyard management
The year was marked by an unstable beginning, but a favorable second half, resulting in an excellent ripening of the grapes. The protective equipment and precise harvesting methods ensured that the quality of the harvest was optimal, despite the challenges of mildew and variable weather conditions .

Wijnhuis
The estate owes its name to the tower that stands in the courtyard of the castle. It is the remnant of a fortress built in the 12th century by Montesquieu's ancestors. At that time, the fortress had a strategic position and controlled the road that connected Bordeaux to Toulouse. The stones of the fortress were used at the end of the 18th century to build the current castle.
In 1871, the estate attracted the attention of Edouard Kressmann, who had just founded his trading house in Bordeaux. He was seduced by the quality of the white wines. Alfred Kressmann, Edouard's eldest son, finally bought the estate in 1930. He changed the name to Château Latour-Martillac. Today, Jean Kressmann's children continue the family tradition, with Tristan and Loïc, the two youngest sons, in charge of the general management. Year after year, with the help of the best oenologists in Bordeaux, they make the most of this authentic "terroir de Graves".
